Multiple Postdoc Openings at KAUST

The IVUL group (ivul.kaust.edu.sa) at KAUST (King Abdullah University of Science and Technology) is looking for top postdoctoral researchers with expertise in computer vision, machine learning, and/or optimization. The researchers for this opening will work at KAUST to investigate and develop principled theoretical and/or computational methods for one of the following topics: action recognition/detection in video, autonomous navigation (especially using simulation), object detection in images and videos, understanding networks deeply (e.g. robustness and sensitivity, training strategies, and general theory), and convex and non-convex optimization (applied to computer vision and machine learning).

The scope of the advertised position includes:
  • publishing high impact work in top-tier conferences and journals in order to build a substantial resume and strong international collaborations
  • engaging with researchers in related fields
  • mentoring and collaborating with KAUST grad students and visiting students/researchers

  • a PhD degree with excellent academic credentials
